Terms of Use

Effective July 6, 2026

TimeTools is a free, open-access tool. These terms are intentionally short. Please read them — it will take less than two minutes.

1. Use

TimeTools is free to use for any lawful purpose — personal, commercial, or educational. No account is required. There are no rate limits. You do not need permission to use the tools on this site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TimeTools. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian’s permission. By using this site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. No warranty

TimeTools is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Calculation results are provided in good faith and for informational purposes only. Always verify critical values independently, especially for financial, legal, medical, or safety-related decisions.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operators of TimeTools shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising from your use of or inability to use this service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of TimeTools from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site or your violation of these terms.

6. Accuracy

TimeTools makes a genuine effort to be correct. Conversions use standard browser APIs and well-established epoch and calendar definitions. However, edge cases exist — DST transitions, platform quirks, leap seconds — and the results should be treated as a reference, not a source of truth for mission-critical systems.

If you find an error, please report it. Bugs caught and fixed make the tool better for everyone.

7. External links

This site may link to external documentation, specifications, or third-party resources. Those links are provided for convenience only. TimeTools does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or availability of external sites.

8. Availability

TimeTools is provided without any uptime guarantee. The site may be unavailable for maintenance, infrastructure issues, or without notice. Because all calculations run in your browser, a cached or offline version of the page will continue to work even if the server is unreachable.

9. Prohibited use

You may not use TimeTools to:

  • Conduct automated scraping or crawling that imposes unreasonable load on the infrastructure.
  • Attempt to exploit, probe, or test the security of the hosting infrastructure.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

We aim to keep these terms short and honest. We will not add surprise clauses that claim ownership of your data or grant broad rights we have not earned.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
